Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Texas
A&M University-Corpus Christi is a four-year university that offers 35 undergraduate and 26 graduate degree programs through its five colleges: Arts & Humanities, Business, Education, Nursing & Health, and Science & Technology. During the 2005 – 2006 academic year, 1,183 Bachelor, 374 Master, and 14 Doctoral degrees were awarded.
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, located on its own 240-acre island, features state-of-the-art learning centers, support facilities, student apartments and its own beach. Surrounded by the Corpus Christi and Oso Bays, the campus is approximately ten miles from downtown Corpus Christi.
Del Mar College
Del Mar is a comprehensive community college that offers academic, occupational and non-credit courses. Associate of Art, Science and Applied Science degrees in over 50 university transfer majors are awarded at Del Mar, as well as Enhanced Skills Certificates and Certificates of Achievement in more than 80 occupational fields.
Both non-credit and credit students have access to classes, laboratories and the latest technology that upgrade their current skills, prepare them for further study or train them for immediate employment in the Coastal Bend area.
In 2005, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board visited the College and rated 14 programs as exemplary--a record for an institution of Del Mar College’s size.
